History

Tim Parsons founded Parsons Electric, Inc. in 1979 on the basis of quality work at a fair price and unsurpassed craftsmanship.  Under his leadership, the company has experienced steady growth.

• In 1992 Rick Birchum joined the company, bringing with him 16 years of industrial experience. 
• Jay McGaha, with his 13 years of management and design/build estimating experience, joined Parsons Electric in 1998. 
• Later in 1998 Joe Martin, an electrical engineer licensed in 11 states, joined the team. 

This enabled Parsons Electric to provide full design/build services.  Each of these individuals became associates in the corporation shortly after their employment.  

Early in 1999 Parsons acquired B&H Electric, a well-respected design/build electrical contractor with over 20 years of experience.  Many of the former B&H employees remain in the employment of Parsons Electric.  

Since it’s beginning, Parsons has not deviated from the core values on which it was founded.  We take great pride in our teamwork approach and consider ourselves your partner.

Parsons Electric, Inc. is a design/build company specializing in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.  We focus on understanding each client’s needs and expectations while always providing the best value possible.  

We take great pride in our team-oriented approach, working closely with the other members of the design team to provide on-schedule in-budget projects that meet or exceed project requirements.

 All engineering is performed in-house by Parsons staff.  We have in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association codes, and state and local building codes.

 We seek out new technologies and innovative products that ensure the customer will be ahead of the curve and apply this knowledge and expertise on each project.

 We utilize the latest software for computer-aided drafting (AutoCad), lighting design, short-circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations, and selective device coordination.

 Our estimating department can provide clients with an accurate estimate of cost for labor and material, along with realistic schedules for installation.
